FOCUS AREA 4: STATE AND LOCAL SUPPORT

GUIDING PRINCIPLES.

PWSA (USA) envisions a USA in which the following is true:

Each person in the U.S.A. who is impacted by PWS has access to a strong and viable state chapter or affiliate of PWSA that is supported by and supportive of PWSA (USA).

PWSA (USA) and its state chapters and affiliates achieve an efficient and mutually supportive division of responsibilities so that matters best handled on a national level are handled by PWSA (USA) and matters best handled on a state or local level are handled by state chapters and affiliates.

PWSA (USA) and its state chapters and affiliates work together so well and so effectively that they are viewed and respected by the public at large (and by other relevant groups, such as medical personnel, researchers, educators and legislators) as the unified voice of the PWS community.
