Behavioral Intervention for Compulsive Behaviors in PWS
The University of South Florida Department of Pediatrics is conducting a
study examining a behavioral treatment for youth with Prader-Willi Syndrome who
experience problematic obsessive-compulsive symptoms.
To do the survey for this project,

here.
You must have a child with Prader-Willi Syndrome who is between the ages of 6
and 17 years old to be eligible for this study. If your child is eligible to
receive treatment, your child will receive 12 hour-long sessions of behavioral
psychotherapy treatment. He or she will also participate in two assessments at
the beginning and end of therapy. During each assessment, a trained research
assistant will ask your child a series of questions about his or her symptoms,
and you will be asked to fill out some forms. You will also participate in a 3rd
short assessment during therapy.
If your child is chosen for treatment and attends, you will receive $50 for
your participation, time, and effort. There are no costs of treatment.
If interested, please contact the study principal investigator Dr. Eric
Storch at 727-767-8230 or by email at estorch@health.usf.edu.
