| School Assembly Schools are a great place
to educate people of all ages. Ask a school nurse to help coordinate a school
assembly about health, healthy foods, and different bodies. Ask the PE teacher
to help with the assembly by teaching about fitness & muscles. Incorporate
lessons about PWS into the assembly to help young minds understand the syndrome
and how they can help those who have it. Ideas you can use:
-
Prepare questions as part of the assembly and
hand out PWS wristbands to those who answer questions correctly
-
Request to provide a training to teachers,
nurses, therapists, administrators and other relevant individuals
during teacher in-service days or any other time it can be arranged
Other Ideas
- Write a newsletter article for a
school
- Write a letter for the school nurse to
use to send home in her bulletin
